  • Question

  • Where  does one configure the period of time that IAG policy detection uses to determine what qualifies as "up to date".  It seems that up to date is somewhere around 7 or 8 days for a definition file.  However, there does not appear to be a place to manipulate this value and increase or decrease it.  Thanks in advance!

  • In addition to Alex's reply, which is correct, there's also another option. For XP SP2 and Vista computers with the latest AV products, the AV itself sets a WMI value called "UpToDate", and IAG checks if it is true or false. In this case, the number in the policy does not matter and you have no control over this. The AV vendors decide and preset their products to set the value according to how many days they feel is right. Mostly, this is around 1 or 2 weeks.

  • Hi,

You can specify the value in the policy editor.
Search and open the policy that you use. You can use the advanced editor, or use GUI if your policy is "standard". In the GUI you can find a colum at right with values. Change it at this place.

    Have a nice day,
