Direct3D Failed to initialize when using battery RRS feed

  • Question

  • I'm using Compaq CQ41-101AU with AMD Turion II, 2GB RAM, ATi Radeon 4200 and Windows 7 Professional OEM

It's curious my OS can't initialize Direct3D only if I were using battery rather than using AC adapter.

It's so disturbing because many of Windows Apps are using Direct3D.

Why it can be happened? And what's the solution?

    Best regards

  • Do you use the latest ATI Catalyst driver? What is the complete error message?

  • Hi,

The issue can be caused by incorrect ATI driver. Please go to HP site to load the latest Graphic driver.
