  • Cannot open pdf files/documents by using Microsoft Edge browser. Please advise. Thank you.

  • Hello,

    Open Store and search for Reader app and install it. Then try to open PDF files and they'll open for sure.

    This issue may be a bit more than a mapped folder or not the local folder.

    Does it work fine if you copy it onto the local folder?

    I recommend you to enable SMB 1.0 on your Windows 10 if you really use a network driver with pdf file on it:

    Control Panel / Programs and Features / Turn Windows Features On or Off and make sure SMB 1.0/CIFS File Sharing Support is ticked

    Then check your issue again.

  • Don't enable SMB1! Adding the server or NAS (file://*.my.nas) to local intranet zone should solve the problem.

  • could you please elaborate more why we shouldnt enable SMB1 in this case
