cannot add company account with outlook 2016 window version RRS feed

  • Question

  • hi all,

my company is using exchange server, in before I added account with mac outlook and it works fine. I have to type the email address, username (which is staff id) and password.

now my colleagues come up with a window notebook with window version outlook 2016, I have no place to type in the username which is supposed to be the staff id. I can add his account with my mac but not in the windows so it is not the server problem.

(the following picture is mac example, I have a place to enter username which is my staff id instead of email address)

  • Hi hfcheung1988,

Regarding the second image you shared above, have you tried entering the information and clicking Next to see if the Exchange account can be added successfully?

Generally, in Outlook on Windows, Exchange sever accounts can be set up in a few quick steps by entering your name, email address, and password, and then selecting Next. If prompted, enter your password and select OK. For more detailed instructions, please refer to the relevant section in the link below:

If the Exchange account failed to be set up after clicking Next, could you please share the error messages then we can do further analysis on this?

Any findings, please feel free to post back.

    Best regards,
