    Hi

    During my install, I entered my key which was sent with the email i received from Microsoft. After the install, when I clicked on 'Activate vista Online now' or the such, I received the message: "The product key you typed is already in use". This should not be the case at all as this key is unique to myself (I hope).

    Can one of the Microsoft Tech guys help me resolve this problem. For verification purposes, My email address is nito7@hotmail.com

    I see no reason why I should need another product key.

    Got this sorted yesterday by calling one of the Tech Support guys. Apparently, during the first failed upgrade of XP to RC1, the key had been registered or something like that. Anyway, sorted.

    can you tell me HOW it got sorted.  my problem is similar adn I wonder i my 4 failed starts at installation where I'd already entered the key ar the cause.  i do have another key from a separate download of the RC1.
