Windows 10, 9926, forgetts screen resolution when monitor goes to sleep RRS feed

  • Question

  • I upgraded windows only two days ago, from a previous technical preview and this problem started happening only in 9926.

When the monitor goes to sleep, Windows will forget the selected screen resolution ( 1920 x 1600 ) and revert to ( 1600 x 900 ).

The 1600 x 900 is the resolution of my built in monitor in the laptop, but I have the settings to display on one monitor only.

When I try to change the resolution back to 1920 x 1600, I get a error telling me it was not possible. I then have to switch from single monitor, to mirroring, and back to single monitor to be able to change the resolution back to normal.

    This is a major problem.

I have found solutions for Windows Vista and Windows 7 regarding this issue, neither have been possible to apply to Windows 10, 9926.

I am unable to find anything in RegEdit with the name give in this help thread.

The same goes for this service, I have no such service to be terminated.

    Please advice.
