In-call quality messages are not received when Lync Client and SDN APIs are updated RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi All,

I am trying to get “InCallQuality” messages with latest SDN API.

But somehow after following all the steps I am unable to get the same.

    Scenario:

Update client version and SDN API to receive “InCallQuality” messages during the calls.

    Environmental details:

    Client version - 16.0.4318.1000

    SDN API version - 2.4.1

Lync Server version - LyncServer 2013

    Schema- D

Below are the steps I have followed:

    1.        Update Lync client version to 16.0.4318.1000
    2.        Update SDN API Version to 2.4.1
    3.        Follow the steps as mentioned in below link in Section “Manually Configuring the Skype for Business Clients for in-call quality reporting”:

    https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/office/mt654029(v=office.16).aspx

After following all the steps mentioned in above link, no in-call quality messages are received.

Any pointers will be helpful. Looking forward for the replies.

    Thanking you in advance,

  • Hi Eason,

    The same is working now.

It was a miss from my side, I was using file name as ocapi_test.config instead of ocapi_test.config.xml.

    Thank you for the help.

  • Hi,

In the link below, it said the supported SFB client should be "Windows desktop W16 Skype for Business client". Does it the normal Skype for Business 2016 client or the Skype for Business SDK client?

    https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/office/mt654029(v=office.16).aspx

As it is Lync Server 2013, so you need to configure in-call quality report manually.

Please double check the configuration and then restart SFB client and then test again.

Also, it is more related SFB SDK, you might post the issue on SFB MSDN forum and more developing expert will help to solve it. Thank you for your understanding.

  • Hi Eason,

    Thank you for your reply.

We are using  "normal Skype for Business 2016".

Since, we are not using SDK SfB, should i still post the query in the link you specified?

    >Please double check the configuration and then restart SFB client and then test again.

I have tested this again but no messages were generated.
