  • is it able to make a kpi read from more than one cube ??? and how ???

      You can write mdx that pulls data from 2 cubes . But i haven't faced this scenario. You could get more help if you could post this query in Analysis services forums.

      It is possible to have a KPI from two different data sources. You can map your targets to one data source and the actuals to some other data source.When you create a KPI, under data mappings there is an option called change source. You can map your actuals and targets to appropriate data sources.

  • thanks alot. thats is so helpful

    i need more help about can i write an mdx query in the kpi that reads from more than 1 cube. the data i have is exists in more than one cube
    i need the data from the cube related to financial
    and a cube about assets
    the data need to be caluculated by mdc into one statement ??
    so can i use an mdx in a kpi to do so
    or mdx statement can only work with the one cube ?????????

    i asked in analysis services forum and got an answer that "to pull data from two cubes with single mdx is impossible. but this can happed by some tricks like linked dimensions and linked measure groups".
