Windows 8 Sysprep - Audit mode fail RRS feed

  • Question

  • I'm trying to sysprep into audit mode, on several different machines, in various differing states of installed applications.

When I sysprep - generalise it, the machine reinstalls fine. If I try to go into Audit mode, it gives and error saying the installation failed and just loops.

Is there a way around this or is audit mode just broken?

  • I think my Problem might be similar... I had booted into Audit Mode on a freshly installed copy of Windows 8 in order to install drivers, updates,m and Media Pack. Once I completed and configured it for out of box experience, I checked (because I forgot to wipe the other drives and was going to enter Audit mode again), and it immediately prompted me for a key and refused both the Pro key and the media pack key :(
