Best Practice for Expanding a Cluster Shared Volume RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have a 300GB Cluster Shared Volume currently which resides on a FC SAN.

I want to expand it, but I just wanted to check that just expanding it on the SAN and then expanding it on the current owner in Disk Management was an acceptable way to do it or will this not work with cluster shared volumes?

  • Hi Alex,

I have had no problems expanding CSVs just as you describe:

    1) Expanding the LUN on the SAN
    2) Expanding the drive on the current owner in Disk Management
