Excel consolidation and referencing RRS feed

  •  Hi Experts,

    I have 3 managers reporting into me and each of them is maintaining their finance ledger in excel in same format. I want to maintain a master excel sheet, which will get automatically populated with the data from my reportees sheet. When they make an update in their sheet, it should reflect in my sheet. However, I don't want one manager to see other's ledger. How can this be achieved.

  • If you have remote access to the three ledgers, you could use Power Query to pull in the data from each of the ledgers, and then use Append to combine the three ledgers into one (assuming they are all using the same structure...if not, you could first clean them up and make them consistent in PQ as well).

    As long as you ensure the three managers are not be able to access your consolidated spreadsheet, there shouldn't be a way for one manager to see another's ledger.
