  • Hi,

    CRITICAL_PROCESS_DIED (ef)

This indicates that a critical system process died.

    BugCheck EF, {ffffe00046e62400, 0, 0, 0}

    2: kd> !process ffffe00046e62400 3
GetPointerFromAddress: unable to read from fffff8022d9ce000
    PROCESS ffffe00046e62400
SessionId: none Cid: 01f0 Peb: 7ff679d83000 ParentCid: 0198
        DirBase: 12c778000 ObjectTable: ffffc00090682b40 HandleCount: <Data Not Accessible>
        Image: csrss.exe

csrss.exe is the process that's unexpectedly terminating.

This is likely a conflict being caused by Gigabyte Easy Saver:

    2: kd> lmvm gdrv
    start end module name
    fffff801`c4bb9000 fffff801`c4bc2000 gdrv (deferred)
        Image path: \??\C:\Windows\gdrv.sys
        Image name: gdrv.sys
        Timestamp: Thu Mar 12 23:22:29 2009

Pretty old as well (as it usually is).

Uninstall Easy Saver ASAP + all Gigabyte bloatware.

    Regards,

    Patrick
