Can't delete old user profiles when using FCS RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have a problem with user profiles on Vista. When I have FCS installed i can't use the GPO "Delete user profile older than". Everytime FCS scan the filesystem the NTUSER.DAT in all profiles are updated.

I have a lot of users that logon to the same computers. Therefore this is a big problem. The profiles are eating up the diskspace.

Is this a known issue. Is it any workaround for this problem.

  • Try applying KB945122 to see if that makes any difference.  I believe we trigger on last modify date on the nuser.dat for the user profiles service deleting the old profiles.  Are you seeing tha the last modify date is getting changed on the files with a full scan with FCS?  Thanks
