Outlook 2016 (365) - Alerts for Non-read emails on subfolders = not show RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

we have a customer which uses outlook rules to move msgs from customers to its specific folders but they complain some e-mails arriving and no alert is show. So many times customers call (regular land line) and and say "I sent you an e-mail..." and etc.

    >>> Is there some 'page' like 'Outlook today' to show all folder with non-read msgs??? Or maybe some daily report showing folders and the amount of non-read msgs???

The main employee's complains is that if he donot 'expand' folders by folder, he cannot find what customer sent email which he still not saw.

  • Hi,

Does this issue only happen to this specific user?

In case there was a corrupted setting in navigation pane, we can run the /resetnavpane command to clear and regenerate the Navigation Pane for the current profile. Please exit Outlook, press Win key + R to open the Run command, type outlook.exe /resetnavpane and then press Enter.

Besides, it can also be related with view settings. Please go to that folder and then click View > Reset View to check the results.

We could create a search folder to show all unread messages in one folder. To do this, please click Folder > New Search Folder > Unread mail. After it created, you can drag it to Favorites for easily checking.

Any updates, please feel free to post back.

    Regards,

    Perry
