inplview.js is undefined in SharePoint 2013


  • Hi Friends,

    inplview.js is undefined error when I added the List app on the layout page.If the page in unpublish I can able to search the list item.But if I publish the page I can't able to search the item in List.If the page is publish mode the inplview.js is not loaded.

    I read few forums the same issue.This is SharePoint bug.Any one suggest is it SharePoint bug??

    What are the changes you have done in file or somewhere else.

    Did you make sure this file is checked in properly.

    I didn't done any changes.Page is checked in only.If the page is checked in or publish mode search is not working.

  • Go to http://site/_layouts/srchvis.aspx page

    Select Allow this web to appear in search results  and perform full crawl

    Check crawl log and let us know if this page is getting crawled or not

    Search is working perfectly.Only the thing is if you create the webpart page using custom page layout and you added the list on web part page.If the Web part page is unpublish mode search is working or list is in edit mode search is working.If the page is publish or list is normal mode the search is not happening.

    Because of there is a java script file "inplview.js"  is not loading.This is the issue.I saw same isssue in msdn blogs.IT's a SharePoint bug.

  • Hello Tirupal! Four years after you report this bug, and I havent found  a solution.  ¿Did you fix that problem? in my company we still use sp2013, but y have this issue and i dont know how to solve this.

    Hope you had found a solution.
