Changing localhost from 127.0.0.1 to another static IP RRS feed

  • Question

  • Dear All,

    I have this request from <g class="gr_ gr_12 gr-alert gr_gramm gr_run_anim Grammar only-ins doubleReplace replaceWithoutSep" data-gr-id="12" id="12">client</g> to bind localhost to resolve to a static IP.

I have tried setting in hosts file but anything except the entry for localhost is working but localhost still resolves to 127.0.0.1

I have disabled IPv6 and after that the issue came up. Server is 2012 R2 Standard

    Any suggestions?

    Thanks in advance.

I have tested it, and it could not be changed.

Could you please tell me what goal you want to achieve?

You could add record of loaclhost in host file to achieve the goal.

    Best Regards
