Project Server 2013 Project Start Date RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi All,

We are using project server 2013. We have uploaded a schedule, but when we check the start date in Project Center : project information and the Project Professional - Project Information are different. How to fix this issue.

    Thanks in advance, Taj

  • Hi,

Did you published the project plan? The dates you see in PWA are the published version of the project plan, thus if it is not published, you might see discrepancies between the draft and published versions.

    Hope this helps,

  • Also be aware that you have 2 different start date information:

    • The start date of the earlier task,
    • The start date specified in the project information which is a project field.

Both dates should be equal but if you entered a constraint on the first task, they could be different.

    Hope this helps,

  • Hi,

As far as I tested it, changing the start date in the project information in Project Pro won't change the start date in the PDP.

But if you change it from the PDP, it will update the start date in the plan in MS Project Pro, thus eventually moving tasks. You will be prompted that changing the start date in the PDP will update the project plan trigger the publication of tasks and assignments.

    Hope this helps,
