What happens to a Recalled Timesheet? RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

We are using Project Server 2010 with Timesheet functionality on. We are using the Single Entry Mode. On 2 separate occassions (2 different resources) a timesheet that was already approved was Recalled, changed, and re-submitted by the resource. When this happens the timesheets do not appear in the appropriate Timesheet Mgr's approval center, but rather stays in a "submitted final" status.  I would expect the changed timesheet to have to go through the approval routing process again but it doesn't. Is this the way Project Server is designed? If so, how can the timesheet ever show as "Approved"? rather than just "submitted"?

  • Hi Judy,

Did the updated timesheet has new tasks created using "Create a New Task" button?
Please verify if the status updates on the task are approved. Also, check if the resource name and the assignment owner are same on the task on which the time was submitted.

  • Hi Prasad

In one of the cases, a new task was created and the status update was in a PM's approval center so that one is fine now. Not so in the other case.
