  • Question

  • Is it possible to use DPM 2010 with an existing installation of Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable Package (x64) as opposed to Visual C++ 2008 Redistributable Package (x64)?

  • Its just that we have not tested with VC++ 2010 and DPM setup by default installs VC++ 2008. Co-exisitng both together on a machine shouldn't be a problem given that these are very small packages.

  • I installed Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable Package (x64). Then I installed DPM 2010 Eval.  DPM 2010 Eval went ahead and installed Visual C++ 2008 Redistributable Package (x64) anyway.  It must be hard-coded to do so.
