App-v Test Application is not getting created in Appv Client machine

Hi

Recently i have setup a trail version of App-v 4.5 infrastructure, all works fine.

Problem is when i go to client machine and log in with test user,i am not able to get the shortcut in start menu nor in desktop, but when launched using \\server-name\content\ everything works fine and it launches perfectly withou any errors.

What could be the possible issue, any help is appreciated.

Examine the SFTLOG.TXT file. There are results codes in their that will tell you reasons why the shorcuts are not appearing - most likely this is due to publishing locations not being accessible (when you specify icon and OSD path in the App-V Server MMC.

Hi Steve,

Had made a very silly mistake, had not given the location of osd and ico path while publishing there by the shortcuts were not appearing on client machine.
