windows 7 service pack 1 causing optical drive malfunctions RRS feed

  • since updating with the windows 7 service pack my computer is very slow at booting up and also the optical drive is not working itermittently with mussic ccd's and not at all with mmy new software i am urgently tring to install. I am thinking the best option would be to uninstall windows 7 s/p 1 but my husband thinks not. thre were 2 error codes which failed to install. error codes 80246005 and 80070308. Tried the web site to fix these error codes but it gave me a message uncompatible. can you help?

  • The performance issue can be caused by several reasons. I suggest you reinstall the antivirus program. If it does not help, troubleshoot in Clean Boot mode.

    If the performance is not good either, please access the download website of the computer manufacturer’s website, download the Windows 7 compatible BIOS and hard drive firmware upgrade.
