Join and Merged Data Sources

  In my view can you convert the sql table into the share point list and then use Join or merger or you can try make table as data source then use join or merger.

  Hi,

  You can join or merge a SharePoint list with a table from SQL Server. Firstly, you should add a database as a data source using SharePoint Designer, and then create a linked source, in the Available Data sources, click your Database connection and the list you want to link, after this you can chose to merge the data sources or join them. Finally, create a data view and set its data source as the linked source(http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/sharepoint-designer-help/display-data-from-multiple-sources-in-a-single-data-view-HA010099144.aspx )

  My first problem was working with a Data Connection that wasn't returing any results.
