  • I have Windows XP, and I know this is the wrong forum, but I'm so flustered that I don't care.

When I'm installing the software from the disk, when it's just about done installing, I get a message.  "Setup cannot continue because there is either insufficient free hard disk space or an unexpected error has occurred."
I have enough disk space, and I ran this in safe mode too. It simply won't install all the way. It has a tiny bit left to install, and then it messes up. What's the problem?

  • Do you have user account protection turned on (default) or off? (Start - Control Panel - User Accounts and Family Safety - User Accounts Turn User Account COntrol on or off)

Turn it back on, reboot and try to install again.

I believe Vista doesn't allow access to the temp folders when UAC is turned off.

    Just a hunch...
