How I managed to fix timesheets with status "Error" RRS feed

  • Not a question this time, but a solution. A while ago, a number of timesheets on our EPM 2010 instance went into status "Error" upon submission and/or approval. After that, nothing could be done with those timesheets; the users were unable to edit, delete or withdraw, the approvers unable to approve or reject, the admin unable to adjust or delete.

    To fix this, I gave the approver who had such timesheets in their approval center admin permissions and opened each timesheet from their approval center. Then I made a 0 hour-entry somewhere in the defective timesheet and clicked "save".

    After that, the timesheet is either ready for approval (if the error was caused by submission of the timesheet) or approved (if the error was caused by the approver).

    Don't forget to remove admin permissions from the approver when you're done!
