ADFS Device Enrollment RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi all, I've got some troubles setting up the Device Registration Service.

First of all, I had ADFS working with the .local domain name. So I had to change that url, folowing the "official" guides on the web and also some other sources (https://tristanwatkins.com/changing-adfs-url-windows-server-2012-r2/).

Now I still got some old url referrals opening, for example, this:

    https://adfs.XXXXXX.YY/EnrollmentServer/DeviceEnrollmentWebService.svc

    in the page I find:

    svcutil.exe https://enterpriseregistration.ZZZ.local/EnrollmentServer/DeviceEnrollmentWebService.svc?wsdl

You can also access the service description as a single file:

    https://enterpriseregistration.ZZZ.local/EnrollmentServer/DeviceEnrollmentWebService.svc?singleWsdl

    so, ZZZ.local insted of XXXXXX.YY

Next issue: Windows 10 is looking up EnterprieEnrollment.XXXXXX.YY during the workplace join procedure.

If I create the dns entry (cname pointing to the actual host name of the ADFS server), it will do a get request for http://enterpriseenrollment.XXXXXX.YY/EnrollmentServer/Discovery.svc with a 404 result.

Just to be sure, I also created the ZZZ.local cname and went manually to http://enterpriseenrollment.ZZZ.local/EnrollmentServer/Discovery.svc. Same 404 error

Do I need to do something else/more?

    Bye
