Storage replica- Windows server 2016 TP4

Question
-
Hello,
I am facing issues while evaluating storage replica feature.
I have installed windows server 2016 TP4 on a vmware virtual machine, and I am trying to create a SRPartnership using my local disks on a VM (I don't have LUNS attached to the VM). Also when i try to add these local disks into a failover cluster manager, these disks does not come online.
Has anyone configured storage replica with local disks?
I am referring below articles for evaluation purpose.

Thanks,
Nilesh

Please don't bother with TP4 - TP5 came out yesterday, and should be used for all evaluation. Also, use this content for testing and deployment: http://aka.ms/storagereplica. If you are still having issues after doing things, I'll be here

Hi Ned,
Thanks for your response.
I will get TP5 installed in my test environment and start my evaluation.
In one of your ignite 2015 session you said that Storage replica is only available in Datacenter edition, is it still applicable in TP5?
Thanks,
Nilesh
S2D and SR are both "Datacenter" features only.

Thanks Anton,
I got the answer, so Local disks are not going to work as clustered disks and Storage replica is a feature of Data center edition only. So there is no change in Failover Cluster feature in Windows server 2016 standard edition, everything remains same as Failover Cluster feature in windows server 2012?
Thanks!

Just what Ned said: update to TP5 with everything.
P.S. Back to your question (as an owner of the content you quote): you'll need cluster-aware disks and locals are not going to work unless Cluster Manager will accept them. We'll update our guides for TP5 soon, just started with Storage Spaces Direct as Storage Replica didn't change much in terms of mgmt (S2Ds did).
