Microsoft Update Catalog, What update RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi

If i run a MDT server and need updates what do i take and how do i know what to take.

For example if i want to update win 10 x64 v1603 to v1809.

Can take v1809 directly or do i have to update all in between?

Any good guides on this? :)

    /Johan

  • Updates are now cumulative so in theory you could take the latest but in reality there are periodic servicing stack updates that are prerequisite to moving on to next update. You can click through them here looking for servicing stack updates

  • Hi,

Thanks for posting in Microsoft TechNet Forum.

In principle, this is feasible about updating win 10 x64 v1603 to v1809 directly. But there are sometimes some changes midway through, and specific problems require specific analysis.

About performing an in-place upgrade to Windows 10 with MDT, you can try to refer to the link.

    Best regards,
