Software Restriction Policy, SRP, maybe a BUG

    Question

  • hi all,

    we use SRP whitelist (deny all), but if we open a WEB LINK from Outlook IE is blocked and doesn't open.

    SRP Setting: All DENY

    OUTLOOK.EXE (PID = 6972) identified C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe as Disallowed using default rule, Guid = {11015445-d282-4f86-96a2-9e485f593302}

    IE works fine if we open it from Taskband or startmenu

    Add the full qualified path of iexplore.exe to the allowed programs - I
    remember some quirks when applications launch other applications in
    combination with registry based default rules.
