Feature Update 1803 RRS feed

  • Question

  • When will the 1803 feature update be available for WSUS Server 2012R2? Having to download it manually to each workstation is not a plan for us. Any help would be appreciated.

  • Upgrade: Specifies an upgrade for Windows 10 features and functionality. Your software update points and sites must run a minimum of WSUS 4.0 with the hotfix 3095113 to get the Upgrade classification.

Kindly go through the following Microsoft article to make sure you have configured your system correctly:

  • My 8 part blog series on How to Setup, Manage, and Maintain WSUS explains how you can get WaaS working for you.

From Windows 7/8/8.1's Upgrade to Windows 10 RTM (during the free upgrade period) > 1511 > 1607 > 1703 > 1709 > 1803 I've used WSUS alone to implement WaaS and upgrade to each new version of Windows 10 for all of the client systems that I manage.

  • Hi,

Based on the server 2012r2, you should select the right products and classifications (classification: "upgrade"):

Then you will see the upgrade that needed:

Starting from the 1709 version, windows 10 has 2 types of media Now, consumer editions and business editions. Instead of having separate media and packages, Windows 10 Pro (volume licensing version), Windows 10 Enterprise, and Windows 10 Education, all three are bundled into business editions, and the consumer editions have Windows 10 Home, Windows 10 S and Windows 10 Pro in it.

    Best regards,
