    My query is related to the diagram mentioned here : http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/gg398334.aspx

    I understand that in this diagram, the sites - Chicago, Detroit and New York do not have any CAC policy applied as they are not bandwidht constrained sites and the other 3 sites (Reno, Portland and Albuquerque) have CAC policy implemented as they bandwidth constrained sites.

    My questions are -

    1. What is the direction of the policy applied ?

    2. If a user from Reno initiates a call to a user in either Chicago, Detroit and New York, will CAC be applied or will it get applied vice-versa ?

    3. How we define as which site is bandwidth constrained or not ?

    1. Policy is bi-directional

    2. CAC will be applied if a Reno user initiates a call or receives a call

    3. You create site links to define bandwidth constraints. Also, inter-regions links can constrain bandwidth if a site in region A calls a site in region B

    These answers assume that the users have Lync clients.
