PCA warning showing in Windows 7 64bit OS RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi there,

I have a simple application which shows a dialog and creates a web shortcut on desktop. I have created a 7-zip self extraction package for the application. After extraction, the package launches my dialog application.

After the execution, the dialog show well and the shortcut has been created, but termination of the program a PCA warning pops up. It happens only in Windows 7 64bit OS. I don't have any words such as "setup", "installer" etc in the application name or description.

    What may be the problem?

    Thanks,

    Anoop

  • the manifest of the SFX application is missing.

Apps without a manifest are threaten as old and not compatible.

  • The SFX application works without warning when launched directly. But it pops up PCA warning when try to install through another app (through on update application, which fetches the SFX app from net and installs).

And, this bug only happens in Win7_64.
