DPM 2010 to a Buffalo Terastation NAS RRS feed

  • Question

  • Good morning.

Our vendor did not disclose that DPM 2010 is a challenge when backing up to a NAS we purchased from them.  Is there anyway to have the DPM 2010 backukp to our NAS?

If not, can the volume used locally (temporary) for DPM 2010 be accessible from another 3rd backup utility - to transfer to our NAS?

    TIA

    Terry

  • Hi Terry,

DPM support ISCSI, DAS and SAN.

Make sure your storage is following one of the KB below and you are good to go!

Another thing you might want to check is that the storage should support Dynamic Disk since i worked with some of the storages that are ISCSI but does not support Dynamic disk and that caused me some problems.

    Hope that helps.

  • Thank you Laith.

I will read those KB this morning.

Interestingly, our NAS is connected via gigabit ethernet.  So I'll have to do some head scratching.
