what is code Code 80070005 in windows update windows 7 pro RRS feed

  • I am trying to update system and it just says Code 80070005. Never been up dated. How do I fix this problem? I had to change out my hard drive and now I lost my windows 10 operating system. I have a windows 7 pro disk so I installed it and it keeps saying I might be a victim of pirated software.How can I get my windows 10 back? It was register with Microsoft to this hardware. the only thing I changed was hard drives Am I going to have to buy a new operating system ? I am getting ready to start school I can't afford to buy new Operating System, Please help

  • If you already upgraded to Windows 10 before and it has been activated you may download it and install it from:

    https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10

    Make sure you are downloading the correct edition and correct architect (32bit or 64bit).

    The error code 0x80070005 is also described as "ACCESS DENIED." You may receive this error if you don't have the appropriate permissions to install a particular update. This can also happen if malware is on your computer.
