Cannot using GPT format on Windows Server 2012 R2 RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello all ,

I have issue about installation windows server 2012 R2 using GPT format , currently i have two phisical disk 2 x 3 TB and we use RAID 1 for redudancy. So we only create one vdisk with 2,7 TB volumes. When we doing installation we already to using diskpart command , we press SHIFT + F10 and then convert the disk to GPT refer to this link : https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dn336946.aspx and result is succesfully when we convert to GPT . But i dont know why, the disk still read 2 TB only can be partitioned. And 700 GB unallocated can't be partitioned. I think the windows still read the disk as MBR not GPT

I already to enable boot using UEFI on bios configuration utility.

Any advice for me for this case ?

    Thank you very much

    Prast,
