SoftGrid client on Server 2008RC0/Vista

    Question

  • Hello all,
I have ready few softgrid applications.
I tried them on desktop with WinXP SP2 and everything is OK.
I wanted to try them on MS Server 2008 RC0, but problem appeared.
Applications didn't aprear in softgrid client console, neither after Refresh Server.
Only Default Softgid Application 1.0 is in the console.
I tried to manually add application to the console, but unexpected error occured(450260-0c404a44-00001007).

Are there any "special" settings for Vista OS in server console or during package preparation?

    Thanks for your help,

    Peter

  • Hi Peter,

Can you try the following: open the OSD files of the applications on your 4.5 server and remove all the <OS VALUE="xyz"> tags that you see. Save the OSD file, delete all the applications on your client (from the Microsoft Application Virtualization client management console) and then try the refresh. Do they appear now?

  • Isn't there a "Win2008Svr" and "Win2008TS" now as well in 4.5 beta?

  • Hi,

the Error 44-00001007 comes up on a TS also when you use the < POLICIES > Tag with spaces inside.

Copy and paste from tmurgent illustrated OSD ....

Remove the blank(s) will solve the problem as well.
