    Question

I do not work for any organisation - This is a standalone installation of Win 10 pro on my personal laptop !!

I am not using ANY credentials to log on - I don't want to or need to........

  • Hi Steeboo,

This is based on that in the privacy settings under "Settings" -> "Privacy" -> "Feedback & diagnostics" -> "Diagnostics and usage data" it is set to "Basic". Change it to "Enhanced" or higher.

Please check the link below about the detailed steps and modify the Registry.

If the issue still insists, we could fix the Group Policy in Windows 10 Pro. Please refer to the link below.

  • I tried these steps on my Windows 10 Pro PC that is in a workgroup.

I still get the message on Windows Update. A red asterisk made a comment about metered connections.

Perhaps that is related to the message for me?

Same here - I cannot set the "UPDATES FROM MORE THAN ONE PLACE" - it is greyed out

    What is going on ?

My PC is a standalone - not in a workgroup or any other network !!

  • This doesn't appear to be the case. The options under "Feedback & diagnostics" are grayed out, and I get the message about "Some settings are hidden or managed by your organisation". This is the case in the 'Location Settings' as well. After following the instructions in the first link and rebooting, there is no change. I am on Windows Home, so there is no group policy editor.
