Azure AD connect configurated with Password Sync and ADFS

    Question

  • Hi all,

I'have already in place a AAD Connect with password sync for my Office 365 tenant, now I want to add ADFS Farm to my environment for SSO.

I know that in first setup phase AAD connect could be configured with a particular configuration to be integrated with ADFS, but I don't really know if it is necessary and what sort of pros can I obtain by this type of configuration. Can someone give me some tips about this topic? How can I switch from simple password sync to ADFS configuratin of the AAD COnnect?

Anyway, I can also keep my AAD connect configured "simple" like it is now, and set up an ADFS Farm with my tenant Office 365 federated, and keep the AAD Connect password sync as "backup" of my ADFS farm? Here an article https://blog.kloud.com.au/2014/07/09/azure-active-directory-synchronization-tool-password-sync-as-backup-for-ad-fs-federated-domains/

    Hope some can help me

    Thank you

    Luca
