Assigning resources to multiple tasks RRS feed

  • Question

  • Is there a way to copy resources for a task and paste them into multiple tasks at one time? Or some other way to assign a collection of resources to multiple tasks at one time?

  • Hi Tonyaims,

Yes, you go to schedule page of any project, suppose "User A" has to be assigned first 10 tasks continuously.

Assign him 1st task and then drag his name to all rest 9 tasks, you can see he has been assigned all 10 tasks.

But if you want to assign him different tasks which are not continuous, you can open that project (Edit in Microsoft Project)  in Microsoft Project and there you can copy paste resource name at any tasks.

    Hope this might Help you.

  • If you open the Project in Project, you may also select multiple tasks, click the Resources tab and use the Assign resources icon to assign the same resource(s) to the selected tasks.
