Install ADOMD.NET from PowerShell ? RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi there,

I am trying to automate my server installation as much as possible.

Up to this moment I was able to use Install-Module alternatevily chocko to install all the required componnents.

I got stuck on ADOMD.NET and it looks like I will need to install this one manually?

Ideas on how can I automate this installtion? I would like to add another line to my script that will download and install the package.

    Possible?

  • It install when you install MD support.

The stand-alone installer form MS has been emmoved from the site.  You will have to get the development tools and extract the redistributable.

You can also install the full client using package management in PowerShell.

    Install-Package Microsoft.AnalysisServices.AdomdClient.retail.amd64
