Removing a replica public folder RRS feed

  • Question

  • If I remove the original replica of a public folder, does exchange ensure that the other instances of the public folder are up to date before it actually removes the public folder? Does the replica crossing Exchange 2003 and 2007 servers complicate this?

  • It is supposed to do that, yes.  The replication engine is designed to not remove a replica until another replica has all the content.  Replicas crossing Exchange versions should not change anything; as far as public folders are concerned, replicas are replicas.
