Uncompacting Outlook Express Messages RRS feed

  • Question

  • I accidently compacted some e-mails in September 2008, and now need to find and use them.  The e-mail folders compacted were in the letter "C".  How do you uncompact, compacted Outlook Express e-mails?

  • Hi Marus,

If you are talking about Outlook Express, I don't know a convinced way to get your message back after you've compacted them.

    Just try to:

    1.Create a identity.
2.Import mail information directly from the old identity. -> the information might be recovered.
    [File > import > messages >outlook express 6 > import from a identity > select the old identity > next >finish ]

With a tiny hope, also try to find them in the Deleted Items.

Another hope is, if you've left a copy on the server side, try to get that instead.

    Sincerely,
