Microsoft Visio 2010 Activation Key given to me by Microsoft is picked up as "invalid" RRS feed

  • Question

  • Before I can even install Vision 2010 (Beta), it asks me to enter my product key. When I try to activate Microsoft Office Premium Visio 2010 (Beta), it says it's attempting to activate and comes back saying "This is not a valid product key." This is the same key given to me by Microsoft before I downloaded the installer. What could be the problem? It won't even let me install it.

  • Sorry, apparently the URLs are all customized per user.  Could you please start with http://www.microsoft.com/office/2010/en/default.aspx and tell me what you clicked from there?  I need to reproduce your steps so I get the key and the downloaded build.

  • Could you please paste the download URL where you downloaded Visio?

  • Well, I deleted my old installer and re-downloaded it using these links and it now works:

    http://www.microsoft.com/office/2010/en/default.aspx
    http://www.microsoft.com/office/2010/en/visio/download.aspx
    http://us2.office2010beta.microsoft.com/product.aspx?sku=10199942&culture=en-US
    https://us2.office2010beta.microsoft.com/downloader.aspx?local=true&receipt_id=800275979&culture=en-US

Thanks for the preemptive help, Mr. Way.
