Usage of Special characters in Web.Contents RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

I am using Power Query Addin for retrieving data from Domino's Lotus Notes view using "From Web" option. Its showing error if the url contains special characters such as "\". I used %5c instead of back slash, it also throwing error.

    Eg URL : ....................nsf/api/data/collections/name/Overnight%5cAll%20requests

    Error :

But the same url working in browser.

Can any one suggest alternative way to solve this. This lotus notes views are used in many places so changing a view name is now not possible.

  • Hi Maria. Would it be possible for you to use a tool like Fiddler to check what URL Power Query is requesting? I'm wondering if somehow we (or something we depend on) ends up replacing the backslashes with forward slashes.

  • Yes. its works well if we encode it as %5c. But the same encoded url not working in PowerQuery
