  • I am trying to download the trail version of Microsft Project, however, after it says download complete there are no further instructions as to how to get the program running so i don't know what to do next.

  • Hi,

I am assuming you are talking about Micorsoft Project Professional.

If yes then after download get completed, Run the Exe, it will start Installation wizards you needto follow the instruction as per wizard.

It is same like installing MS-Office.

But if you are talking about Microsoft Project Server then follow below link:

  • I am assuming you have installed the trial version of Project 2013 - not a trial version of Project Online.  The file you downloaded was a file ending in *img and needs to be expanded either by burning to a disc or by unzipping with a de-compression program such as 7Zip.

If you are using Windows 7 see below for details on how to burn an img file.

  • Yes I had this happen too.  You just need to burn the .img file to a DVD & the entire contents will be visible.  Run the Setup.exe to install.

They could actually tell you this on the Webpage that you download the Product.

  • Just my 2 centes. I use WinISO (free software), to virtually mount IMG files, instead of having to "burn" them to DVDs.
