You need to provide us a litle bit more information. (e.g. Error Message, Steps where Setup fails, Points in my first answer, etc.)
Depending on which Service Pack for SQL Server 2012 you are on (RTM, SP1 or SP2) there are different CUs which you can apply.
According to your specified Version you are on SQL Server 2012 RTM. Therefore you should highly consider to upgrade to Service Pack 2 and CU8 (Which is the most current CU for SP2 at the certain Moment) or even SQL Server 2014 SP1. See this list for all Versions of SQL Server and CUs: http://sqlserverbuilds.blogspot.ch

Did you install SQL Server 2012 on the local (Primary Site) Server? Remote Server? Did you specify the correct SQL Settings in splash.hta (Database Information)? What does prerequisite checker tell?
Here is a Step-by-Step Guide, which should provide some background information about the Installation of ConfigMgr 2012 R2 (and more): http://prajwaldesai.com/sccm-2012-r2-step-by-step-guide/
