Exchange 2007 Auto Reply RRS feed

  • I am trying to setup an auto reply for temporary use. The firm in question has had a death (the owner passed away) and due to this the firm is closing for the weekend. I tried to setup a transport rule but in testing I received no "auto reply".

    Can someone let me know how to set this up for anyone who receives mail in the organization. This needs to be done server-side and cannot be done via out-of-office.

  • Have you enabled automatic replies to the internet in the management console?

    Org Config, Remote Domains. On the properties of the * remote domain choose Message Format and enable Automatic Replies. You may have to restart Transport Service to get it to take effect.
