Windows Vista Desktop RRS feed

  • Question

  • I finally made the switch to Windows Vista 64 from XP 64.  Every time I shut down and subsequently restart, my desktop folders are resized and moved to a different location.  How do I save my desktop so it remains the same each time I boot up?

I have looked everywhere and can't find the answer to this.

  • Hello,

I feel a little confused about what you said stating "my desktop folders are resized". Could you please let me know some more details or catch a screen shot and post it onto a web space for my further research?

First perform the following steps to see whether they do work on your issue.

    1. Right-click the blank space on the desktop.

    2. Point to View and clear the mark before both Auto Arrange and Align to Grid options.

    3. Restart the computer and test the issue.
