vb6 error 429 using windows 7 RRS feed

  • Question

  • I recently upgraded my work computer from windows xp to windows 7. I have a number of vb6 applications that worked fine in windows xp using outlook 2003 and outlook redemption. Most of the apps required an email be sent to the users. After moving over the vb6 apps to the windows 7 pc, where outlook 2010 is installed, the apps worked fine. That is, until I installed ms access 2003 (which I needed to install to run an old app). I installed ms access 2003 to it's own folder. MS Access 2003 opened fine but now I notice when any of the vb6 apps runs, I'm getting an error 429 ActiveX component can't create object. I'm sure that some when installing ms access 2003, something must have gotten replaced but I don't know what nor how to correct this. Looking forward to solutions. Thank you in advance, SeniorKammy
