  • Hi,

    Thanks for the post.

Please verify if you have created Computer Discovery Rules for these newly installed machines.

Meanwhile, you could find more about MOM Client States, Pending Actions and Discovery Rules by visiting http://social.technet.microsoft.com/wiki/contents/articles/fcs-mom-client-states-pending-actions-and-discovery-rules.aspx

    Hope this helps.

Yes I have a "Computer Discovery Rules" under MOM 2005 Console > Console Root > Microsoft Operations Manager (VOTFCSCS1) > Administration > Computer Discovery Rules.

If i check the right pane I have:

    Management Server : VOTFCSCS1

    Rule Type: Include

    Domain name: AD

Computer name: equlas and the computer(s) name(s)

    Computer type: Servers and Clients

    Initial management Mode: Agent-Managed

Checked : Apply query criteria to domain controllers

Unchecked: During computer discovery, contact each computer to verify that it exists

Excellent document about the Client States..

    Thanks,
    Dom
