monitoring the print spooler service RRS feed

  • Question

  • hie guys.  I created a runbook that is supposed to be triggered by an alert from SCOM 2012 sp1  whenever the print spooler service is stopped. When I switch off the print spooler in my Virtual machine, the alerts are not showing on SCOM hence triggering my runbook. How do I monitor the print spooler service in SCOM 2012 SP1??

thank you so much for your help. To solve the problem, I had to increase the size of the operations manager database.

  • hi again. Thank you for your help. I followed the document and I believe I did everything right but when I stop the service I don't get an alert in the monitoring pane in active alerts. Does it take long to generate the alert??

  • Hi,

I would check the "monitor target" - Is the Monitor enabled? If you have made an override, please check objects/group
